Bishop Grosseteste entrepreneurship students work through the night

david bgu entrepreneurship studentsDBS director David Clarke recently spent two interesting mornings at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln. The University has a new and exciting degree course in Team Entrepreneurship based on the Finnish Tiimiakatemia (Team Academy) model.David met with a group of Team Entrepreneurship students on Tuesday 30th January for 30 minutes and set them a real-life e-commerce related business challenge. The students had just 24 hours to research and identify an ecommerce product for a marketplace that was prime for disruption. The team presented their business plan to David the following morning after working long through the night."I really like the concept of entrepreneurship being embraced by academia" commented David. "The course is a far cry from the text books and lectures associated with a standard business degree. The degree really is hands on with the creation of a successful business at its heart. Entrepreneurship is the life blood of our economy and it's a positive step to see Bishop Grosseteste actively encouraging this type of learning. DBS is really pleased to support this positive learning experience."
