David’s First View of Everest

David has begun his trek to Everest Base Camp for Cancer Research UK and has had his first view of Mount Everest, the world’s highest mountain. If you’d like to make a donation please visit his Just Giving page. David's-First-view-of-everest We’ve had the following update from David:
“Member of party helicoptered off this morning with altitude sickness, this is tough. Messages of support and donations mean a lot and are spurring me on.”
The party is currently in Namche Bazaar at 3440 metres (2.5 times the height of Ben Nevis) and will spend a couple of days acclimatising to the low levels of oxygen before making their way to Everest Base Camp.
Cancer touches most people's lives. With your help we will beat it sooner. Please donate via the Just Giving page.
