We are celebrating at DBS as we are so happy to have won the “Service Provider of the Year” award at the Midlands Business Awards last week! Some of the team headed to the Athena in Leicester last Friday and were ready for a night celebrating a great achievement of being a finalist. We were up against some amazing businesses, so it was an even better night when we won!
Our Managing Director Julie said “This award underlies the development and great work that we’ve been able to consistently deliver despite the challenges of the last few years. Our team was delighted to be taking home another award.
Our entry focused on some specific work that we completed for clients across an array of industries, all of which required bespoke solutions that we were able to deliver from our vastly experienced team as well as some innovative, strategic ideas that can continue to improve our clients day to day operations.
We are especially proud to be able to really get to know our clients and understand what they need to excel. This award really shows what we are capable of”
The award evening was a lovely event. It was great to have these awards able to take place in person, the food was lovely, the entertainment was great and as the pictures show, we had a fantastic time!

This award win came the same week we received the brilliant news that DBS now has Gold status for its Investors in People standard. In order for this to be achieved, we had to demonstrate that we take an active and diligent responsibility to train, upskill and support our employees on a strategic programme. Only 17% of Investors in People accredited organisations achieve the gold standard, so we can count ourselves among some of the elite which is extremely exciting.
We take pride in the development of training of all the team at DBS, especially as we are a 100% employee-owned company. It is main part of the DBS culture to care and support each other in our personal development to be the very best versions of ourselves as well as the development of the business. We share relevant news articles with each other, watch expert led talks, carry out online training and much more so that we can reach our full potential. We’re so pleased that to have received the IIP gold standard, as it means that we are recognised for all this work and our approach to employee development.
2022 is already looking like a great year for DBS and we are excited to see what the rest of the year has in store!
